Join us for a QueerX series event featuring Ahmad Qais Munhazim! This event will bring up some complex ideas relating to masculinity and how it is performed.
How are masculinities performed? At what point does masculinity become toxic? Why can't some men be vulnerable? What does masc4masc mean? How are race, class and gender related to masculinities? Through interactive activities, dialogues and props, this event will try to answer some of these questions.

On Tuesday, April 3, more than 200 students and staff braved 9 inches of spring snow to celebrate the 12 annual Tony Diggs Excellence Awards in the Coffman Memorial Union Theater. In honor of Tony Diggs, former Director of the Student Activities Office, the awards recognize student group achievements in several categories. For the 2017 calendar year, 89 nominations were submitted.
Over plates stacked with warm waffles, a panel of University of Minnesota faculty and staff members recalled their experiences as first-generation college students Tuesday evening.
A group of around 20 students attended the First-Generation Panel and Waffle Bar in Bruininks Hall, an event encouraging discussion and advice-sharing between faculty, staff and students with similar backgrounds.
The event, organized by Multicultural and First Generation College Students, a program within the College of Liberal Arts, featured four panelists.
