Funding available for virtual Faculty Women of Color in the Academy Conference

Thursday, March 26, 2020

The Institute for Diversity, Equity, and Advocacy (IDEA) is offering funding for U of M faculty to attend the virtual Faculty Women of Color in the Academy National Conference (April 18-19, 2020). Info can be found at idea.umn.edu. IDEA will cover the cost of conference registration.

This conference is an educational and professional opportunity for indigenous and women of color in higher education to network, engage, and learn with colleagues from around the country. Conference sessions explore topics of leadership, career advancement, personal well-being, and scholar activism. IDEA is also able to cover the cost of participating in the virtual pre-conference writing retreat.

Email oedidea@umn.edu by April 4 to let us know if you would like to receive funding to participate in this conference. Funds are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
