International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is looking for graduate students and staff (volunteers) with small group facilitation experience to co-lead their fall semester discussion sessions. As a group facilitator, you will have the chance to practice and develop your facilitation and multicultural competency skills as well as join a network of colleagues whom you can learn a ton from.
Each semester, six groups are formed with students from a variety of majors, colleges and great diversity in experiences and cultural backgrounds. The goal of the program is to create a space where UMN students can engage one another through discussion topics and social events as a way to enhance their academic experiences. Past participants have testified that they were able to develop and improve their communications skills, cross-cultural awareness, and expand their world view through being a part of this program.
To become a group facilitator please fill out the application form found here: https://isss.umn.edu/programs/disgroup/leaders.html
Applications are due by Sept. 24!
