UMPD is partnering with the Aurora Center to host its semiannual Cops N' Coffee on March 27 (Washington Avenue pedestrian bridgehead), March 28 (Union Street Plaza, across from the East Bank LRT station), and March 29 (St. Paul Student Center bus stop).


New Parental Leave for Employees policy drafts available for review and comment

The new Parental Leave for Employees policy provides both parents who meet eligibility requirements with six weeks paid leave, expands coverage to include gestational surrogacy, removes the nine-month employee eligibility requirement, and replaces the current policy: Parental Leave for Academic Employees.

Every year, the Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life honors the accomplishments of individuals and groups doing amazing work within the LGBTQIA community. If you know of anyone who fits the one of the descriptions below, we want to celebrate them!

UMN Medical School’s 2nd annual LGBTQ+ Symposium

April 3, 5:30-8:30 pm. Mayo Auditorium.

This year, the emphasis will be healthcare for transgender and gender non-conforming patients. It is open to all students, community members, and healthcare professionals. It will offer an opportunity for current and future healthcare providers of all backgrounds to gain competence and comfortability caring for transgender and gender non-conforming patients. We hope to offer a multifaceted educational experience from a variety of expert perspectives.
