A Reflection on Recent Immigration Headlines

Dear friends,

Last weekend, many of us in this country spent time with our families and friends and celebrated Memorial Day by remembering individuals who gave their lives to uphold the ideals of the United States. Despite efforts to find time to think and reflect, I found it hard to avoid a barrage of news stories related to the actions of U.S. government agencies and their treatment of immigrants.


University of Minnesota Twin Cities joins #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarship program

The University of Minnesota will offer two #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarships for incoming international students for fall 2019. This scholarship program is an outgrowth of the successful #YouAreWelcomeHere social media campaign to encourage international students to study in the United States.


Art of Healing Transnational Summit

Wednesday, May 23, 2018
You are invited to the culminating event of the work of the Art of Healing Collaborative: a transnational summit with guests from near and far, meditating on the artistic processes of healing.
May 30-June 1, at various locations on the UMNTC campus (specific locations to be announced).
