The Program in Health Disparities Research is accepting applications for the 2018-19 Health Equity Leadership & Mentoring (HELM) Program. HELM is designed to enhance the academic excellence and leadership capacity of diverse faculty and health disparities researchers at the University of Minnesota.
Save the date for the 2nd Annual Multicultural Student Kick-Off hosted by the MANRRS and the Office for Diversity and Inclusion. This year's kickoff will take place on Monday, September 17th from 4-6pm in the St. Paul Student Center- North Star Ballroom.

International Student and Scholar Services is pleased to announce the ISSS Intercultural Workshop Series for Fall 2018. The series includes sessions focused on intercultural competency and skills development as well as “Culture In-Depth” sessions discussing the unique practices, customs, and values of some of the largest international student populations on our campus.
For the last two years, The Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life (GSC), the Transgender Advisory and Action Team (TAAT), and the Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action (EOAA) have been drafting and receiving feedback on a policy that aims to create a respectful and supportive campus for transgender and gender non-conforming students, staff, and faculty. Two recent Star Tribune articles featured the draft policy, leading to questions and concerns about the impact on our transgender and gender non-conforming community members and on the future of the policy.
