All student groups interested in recruiting international students (especially new students) should attend the 6th annual "Best Practices for Working with International Students: Student Group Training," sponsored by International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) and Student Unions & Activities (SUA).
Student groups who attend this event and abide by the best practices discussed will be invited to attend a Welcome Reception for new international students in August. ISSS will also email the contact information for these groups to new international students in July.
Space is limited in this training, so each group is asked to only send two or three student representatives (preferably the organization’s leadership). If you haven't elected a new student board yet, please send someone from the current fiscal year that is willing to pass on the training information to the new board.
You must RSVP and be approved to attend this event.
There will also be another training on April 28. The sessions are identical, and groups only need to attend one.
